The Billion $ Question! What Would You Do? What If You Already Have ALL You Need?

Published on: 4th January, 2023

I was recently listening to a podcast where Peter Thiel was the guest. Thiel is the billionaire VC investor who was co-Founder of PayPal, the first major investor of Facebook and has become somewhat of an oracle of Silicon Valley.

In this particular conversation he described the day Yahoo offered $1billion for Facebook. This would have grossed Founder Mark Zuckerberg $250MM at the ripe old age of 22. At the time FB had only 100k users, most of which were college students.

Zuckerberg turned down the offer without blinking. The reason why he did is what I focus on in this episode. It gives great insight to what it looks like when you know you’ve found the thing that drives you to such a degree you can’t put a price tag on it-even if that tag is $250MM.

Enjoy!
